Ommm into your Weekend

“Say ‘hi toes!'”

You probably don’t start most weekday mornings with a gleeful good morning to the very part of your body that leads you away from your bed. It’s a different story in our Toddler Yoga class thanks to Liz Warren, an educator and collaborator that works with many of Grand St. Settlement’s programs to bring mindful connectedness and the arts to our participants. This video was taken in several of our Early Head Start classrooms – and we couldn’t be more proud of Grand St. Settlement’s ability to bring not only comprehensive child development to our communities, but also baby yoga!

Though some of the sessions get a bit silly, no one is silly enough to think this yoga is about meditation or quiet minds; it’s enough to teach children how to connect with and live in their bodies and to enjoy the awareness of how they can move throughout their world.

We hope this adorable snippet gives you just enough of the #FridayFeels to be able to embrace that #TGIF mentality and make the most of your weekend! For more from Liz Warren and the team at Vivid Story, check out their storytelling on their site.
