
Cooking with Chef Alicia
Grand St. Settlement incorporated a cooking component to its Youth Service programs three years ago. The cooking programs teach young people how to prepare simple and healthy meals using ingredients that can be found at a local deli or bodega. 
Rap Groups
Our tween programs incorporate gender-based supportive environments where self-respect, self-esteem, and acceptance are encouraged. Rap groups cultivate an atmosphere of trust, where youth are comfortable bringing up sensitive subjects.
Youth Services
Grand St. Settlement provides a diverse array of year-round educational, recreational and social activities for elementary-school age children, 'tweens, teens and young adults. Programs focus on service learning, academic achievement, life skills, arts and culture, civic engagement and goal-setting so that our young people learn self-sufficiency and how to become productive adults.
