For the last twelve years Grand St. Settlement has annually hosted Taste of the Lower East Side ®, one of New York City's most anticipated tasting events that raises funds for our programs and services.  The event began when members of the Grand St. Settlement family realized that the neighborhood's burgeoning restaurant community was a wonderful reflection of the area's historically rich and culturally diverse make-up. This partnership between local eateries has created an amazing event where food lovers and restaurants can give back to their less fortunate Lower East Side neighbors. After more than a decade, TLES is one of the City's favorite tasting events, attracting upward of 1,000 supporters.

Thanks to all who helped make the 2013 Taste of the Lower East Side ® on April 25th such a great event!

Taste of the Lower East Side ® offers the chance to try dishes from the best L.E.S. and downtown restaurants all under one roof in one evening. Admission includes unlimited tastings, accompanied by an open bar of specialty cocktails, beer and wine. There is also a lively silent auction, raffle prizes, and a live DJ. All proceeds benefit Grand St. Settlement's programs.
